Cedar Lakes Rug Camp
I have some pictures of when I went to Cedar Lakes Rug Camp this spring. My friend and I drove down to the camp together on a Wednesday if I remember right. They let the public walk through the rooms where people are hooking and you can have lunch in the cafeteria with the camp attendees. There is a rug show in the main building (everyone brings a rug to show) and then they have a store in the same building and you can buy patterns and all kinds of stuff. I attended this camp about three years ago and I slept in the bunk house because it was the cheapest. I shared the room with another gal that had to leave so I slept all by myself one night and it was kind of spooky. But it was only 13.00 dollars a night and it was in driving distance so I haven't been back since but I might go again next spring. I wish it was in September or October instead of May. I'm always busy with Mother's Day and my anniversary so I don't want to be thinking of rug hooking which for me is all consuming.

Hooking Rug with Lauren
Hooking Rug with Lauren is a blog about my experiences hooking rugs. I am typically doing something related to rug hooking everyday. Whether it is dyeing wool, cutting strips, researching a color, transferring a pattern or just hooking one of my rugs. Sometimes I think I am a little obsessed but the more I hook rugs the more I enjoy it. So I hope I can pass on a little of what I have learned each day. Check back soon. I am going to be posting some pictures from the Ohio State Fair Rug Hooking entries.
